For greater things have yet to come And greater things are still to be done in this City The words stuck in my throat as we belted out the song. The others in the car didn’t hear me trying to choke out those lyrics. At least, they didn’t seem to give any sign that they [...]
It’s our last night in Bucharest, Romania, and I can honestly say I don’t want to go home. I’ve known the past few years that I am called to do ministry in Europe. It’s why I have returned to the Czech Republic at least once a year since 2006. It’s why I have a map [...]
The past few days in Romania have been pretty powerful. God has shown up in some powerful ways, opening doors of ministry and opportunity that only He could open. During our small group party Saturday night, while one of our team members shared his story of coming to Christ, an opportunity arose for the Agapia [...]
A few months ago, I labeled 2013 as my year of promise – a year I believed I would see both current promises being fulfilled and new promises being made. It’s a process I go through every year, trying to align every aspect of my life with what I believe God wants to do in [...]
Plans are in the making for our trip to Bucharest, Romania in March 2013. Four individuals from the States, along with 2-3 individuals from the Czech Republic will work with Biserica Agapia Bucuresti (Agape Church Bucharest) to reach out to university students and young professionals.
gnite President Jason Vana and Board Member Brodie Clark will lead a team of students and young adults on the trip of a lifetime to Romania. We will work with Biserica Baptista Agapia Church based in the capital city of Bucharest. Ministry details are still in the initial planning stages, but will include outreaches and a retreat geared to university students.
You know when young people are willing to drive four hours for the chance to see you one last time, you’ve made a real difference in their lives.
That is why we go.
It is hard to put into words all God did the past few days here in Czech. Friday we experienced a lot of discouragement. It was rainy and cold all day. No one was out in the Svibice neighborhood. We couldn’t be in the park playing basketball and trying to draw people out of their [...]
The past few days in Czech, we’ve had a lot of ups and downs. We planned some great afternoon workshops, only to have a small number of youth show up. We were playing basketball this evening, only to have it rain for 10 minutes. We dealt with some uncomfortable heat and no air conditioning. This [...]
The day we left America, I wrote a post about how God has the power to do more than we could ask or imagine. I didn’t realize how true that post would be to this trip. Right from the start, God has blown away every expectation, surpassed every vision and done more than we’ve asked. [...]
